Stelios Dexis (b.1961) & Myrto Vounatsou (b.1968) are visual artists who work together on the field of video-installations, video/digital and new media arts as means of expressing their ideas. They both live and work in Athens & Thessaloniki, Greece.

 

 

 

 

 

Curriculum Vitae

 

 

Myrto Vounatsou (b.1968) is a visual artist who works on the field of video-installations, video/digital and new media arts as means  of expressing her ideas. She received her BFA (Hons) in Painting from the Athens School of Fine Arts (1992-1998) & BA (Hons) in Educational Studies from Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki. She has a MFA (Hons) in Digital Arts from the Interdisciplinary workshop ASFA and the National Technical University of Athens (1998 -2000). She studied Visual Communication in the Department of Design (studio prof. M. Wedder) in Hochschule Der Kunst in Berlin  & attended classes on the field of Art/Creative Therapy at the University of Central England in Bermingham- Dep. at Hogeschool Rotterdam & Omstreken in Nederlands. Since 2003 she works as Lecturer at the Technological Education Institute of Athens Dep. of Photography & Visual Arts. She has been excelled in many festivals for her film productions (video arts and educational documentaries).

 

Stelios Dexis (b.1961) has studied Painting at the School of Visual & Applied Arts of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from 1984 to 1989. His post-graduate studies were on the field of Digital Arts at the Interdisciplinary workshop ASFA and the National Technical University of Athens (from 1998 to 2000).

Since 2011, he works as Lecturer at the Fine Arts’ Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his scientific field is "Digital media and Digital Design."

Many of his movies and documentaries have been screened on National Television Channels (ET1, ET3) and have been uploaded as streaming videos on the internet.

He has been excelled in many festivals for his film productions (video arts and educational documentaries).

 

 

Myrto Vounatsou  & Stelios Dexis are long-time collaborator visual artists who create most of the art projects together. They both live and work in Thessaloniki & Athens, Greece.
